i think that now that i have enough d3 tools, i can learn to make my own mod complete with custom weapons, bots, ships, and abilities.
ill put classic 2d game ships from darius twin, galaga, gradius, and either star soldier or maybe bosconian!

i made my own fusion sound.
its a mix between the obelisk of light in C&C Renegade and the d2 fusion. it also has a similar charging sound but it sounds more like its coming from a massive reactor than a little ship.
its also a little on the trippy side (the effect is)

yeah, if you hack it you can make custom ships and weapons.
you can make a custom ship nobody can use so that you can be recognised.
its cheating to change damage ratios.
but you can change the skins and weapon effects
maybe even the physics design.
or was that the hog file to do that?
