Hi,
I’m on Debian Sid (x86, yes, I know) and I try to compile dxx-rebirth (dxx-rebirth_20211021).
I installed the few missing packages needed for Ubuntu but scons still complains.
Here are its famous last words:
2X-Rebirth.2: CXXFLAGS: ['-g', '-O2', '-ftabstop=4', '-Wall', '-Werror=extra ...

Compiling/using it in Debian Etch
Hi,
I run an up to date Debian Etch.
I first tried to run the 1.6.81 version of d2x-xl, but it crashes without explanation. It just says “Segfault”.
With strace, I get this:
write(4, \"\\n\\1\\2\\0\\16\\0`\\1\\4@\\2\\0\\17\\0`\\1O\\0\\2\\0\\f\\0`\\1l\\0\\1\\0\", 28) = 28
read(4, 0xbfffbf20, 32 ...

Yes, of course.Diedel wrote: Did you set #define RENDER2TEXTURE to 0 in include/ogl_init.h?
Gah, no. Your source may not be very portable (your fault, your fault, not mine…From all Linux distros Debian has the most problems with D2X-XL. Makes me believe that distro seriously sucks.

Re:
Can you grab the source code and compile it on your machine? It's fairly simple.
I tried ./configure, it worked but make complained that:
fbuffer.c: In function ‘ogl_fbuffer_avail’:
fbuffer.c:69: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘glCheckFramebufferStatusEXT’
fbuffer.c:69: error: ‘GL ...

OK, so what’s the problem?Diedel wrote: ducon,
your application folder contains all necessary data. The subfolders you are listing here are all ignored by D2X-XL.

Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)
Should I try to strace it?
