Rockfire RM-203 USB-Game Port Adapter

Anyone have any experience using this game port adapter with the Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro? One customer who bought it said all the buttons on the handle and the hat worked but not the base buttons. I can do without those. Running Windows 8.1 Pro.
