hmm depends also which camera you have since there are plenty with different image quallity.
Image one has more blur than image two also.
The Camera I use is a Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 it's about 4 years old but it has perfect image quallity for my doings, it's my dads camera though, he needed it to make perfect daylight quallity shots in pitch darkness.
Image quallity is not only craftsman it's also depends on what type of cam you use.

I also use Adobe Lightroom to process RAW file and I also use NEAT and Corel Photopaint for editing.
A bit off-topic, sorry -- I'm currently using Canons Digital Photo Pro for raw processing. I'm curious what the advantage of Lightroom over DPP is (skimming over Adobe's site wasn't conclusive.)
I find it easier to use. Simple interface. I was told about it from a friend on kali and tried it.
EDIT: I also use NEAT (Sharpen and Noise removal, and Corel Photopaint to crop pictures).
Lightroom has so many options and they are properly located compared to the software Canon provided. I've been using it now for about a year and enjoy it a lot.
