Wouldn't you love to get paid to find correlations between random things?
@Woodchip, I dunno, as a critical thinker with scientific training, greenhouse gases sound pretty plausible to me. But in reality, everything interacts with everything else to form a web of causation -- when you're talking about anything that complicated, there's inevitably more than one cause.
But still, if you find a particularly pivotal one of those causes, and do something about it, you can drastically slow, or even stop, the thing that's happening. Whether it's global warming or whatever.
